TNCSS's top priority is the nullification process bill but it is not our only priority.  The new bill numbers for the nullification process are:  HB2610/SB2657 (the House bill is sponsored by Rep. Bud Hulsey.  The Senate bill is sponsored by Senator Janice Bowling.  Both the House and Senate bill currently are identical bills.  Go to the CALL TO ACTION tab for any current action requests.  And please sign up to the TNCSS Substack (see the Substack tab to signup) this is how you will be kept up to date.

I am sharing an EXCEL Spreadsheet with the bills TNCSS consider priority and a list of bills of interest.  This spreadsheet will be updated often so keep checking back. Last update was on February 26, 2026

2026 Excel Spreadsheet of Priority Bills and Bills of Interest and their status

(UPDATED March 25, 2026)

Here are copies of the bills listed on the spread sheet above.

TNCSS Priority Bills - All House bills and Senate bills listed are currently identical so I will only post a copy of the House bill.
HB2610/SB2657 - Nullification process bill (SUPPORT)

HB2612/SB1783 - REAL ID Transparency bill (SUPPORT)
HB2609/SB2203 - REAL ID additional protections (SUPPORT)
HB2038/SB1827 - Gold/Silver as legal tender in TN (SUPPORT)
HB2613/SB2484 - Ballot Access to require proof that candidate meets requirements for the office the candidate wishes to win (SUPPORT)
HB2607/SB2002 - Property tax caps (SUPPORT)
HB2611/SB2214 - UCC Art. 8 this state led act makes the banks the first to be made whole should we have an economic crash - this bill would require the investor is made first not the bank (SUPPORT)
HB1716/SB2411 - Freeze home assessment at assessment as of 2020 SUPPORT)

HB2039/SB2071 - a bill against programmable money in TN (SUPPORT)
HB2361/SB1812 - a bill to allow citizens to deposit gold/silver into a depository and use a credit card to pay bills...the payment will be withdrawn from you metals value in your account but the vendor will receive cash.  (SUPPORT)

Bills of Interest
HB1847/SB2128 - bill to address AI and cost of building data centers (SUPPORT)
HB1473/SB1746 - addresses private citizens/private orgs being forced to acknowledge same sex marriage (SUPPORT)
HB1729/SB???? - expand state testing for home school families If student does not do well on testing they will demand the child be put in public school - given the poor performance of our public schools this makes no sense if they were truly concerned with education (OPPOSE) The government has no right to interfere with home education.  It is time we lessened their hold not increase it which this bill would do.
HB2036/SB1825 - Natural Born Citizenship for all elected offices/no dual citizenship for office holders (OPPOSE) We oppose this bill because NBC requirement for all elected offices violates the US Constitution
HB1491/SB1714 - separation of church and state/allow prayer aloud in school/include the study of the Bible in school - the truth (SUPPORT)
HB2265/SB2439 - feasibility study is requested to see if we can use last price paid for your home as the assessment (OPPOSE) We oppose because Rep. Fritts has an actual bill to do this not to initiate a study that will delay relief and probably never take place.
